Let me talk you on a journey into potty training world at my house. Below is a pic of what I find about 10 times a day as my 2 1/2yr old potty trains! She wants to do it all by herself…I can’t help pull her pants down, I can’t help her onto the pot, I cant stand there while she goes. “Mo-om….weave pees…go” translation- “Mom leave please, go!” I shutter at the shriek, so I stand outside the door. Then…”Mommy, I done” in that high voice sound that every mother can recognize as mischief…(sounds like mo-mmy I d-one)
Then I walk in and find this….

hahhah…I’ll show you little one!

TAKE THAT!!! Rubber-band….my new best friend;)
Next potty visit- “Mom…..wo wok” translation- “Mom, won’t work”
“Yes, mommy knows….isn’t it wonderful?!”

We’re at the tail end of potty training (no pun intended!) and although it was such a breeze with our first two, this has not been the case with our third . . . in other words, a TOTALLY different experience.
But we see the light at the end of the tunnel!
Love your photo of the toilet paper and the rubber band!
God bless.
Thanks for the laugh, Michele!
You are ingenious, you know!!
What a BRILLIANT idea!! I NEVER thought of that!!!! Love it!!!
Thanks for your comments ladies
It seems to be working…YEAH!
Oh my goodness! I have a Ms Independent too. She is also a monster and has been since she was born!!!!
My “easy child” is 2 1/2 and I just can’t get him to poo in the potty. Oh well. Hopefully I won’t be buying diapers much longer.
Try tying a ribbon to your toilet paper dispenser in the length of 3 or 4 sheets, and that way your toddler can measure her own paper
lol Too funny! I may have to try that.
Very good idea. Although I don’t think I will do it since the toilet paper trail through the hall led me find 1 yr. old brushing her teeth in toilet water yesterday. Who knows how much longer that would have gone on if I had not seen the tall-tale white trail?!!!
Oh no!!! LOL This is definitely good to have a trail then! hehehe, I bet that just made you cringe and gag! My daughter ate dog food when she just turned 2. It was when she turned her nose up at everything I tried to feed her ….then went for dog food!!! I have a strange daughter…lol
That is a great idea Mrs. Taft…Thanks!
Thrifty Karen- Yes, my girl has been this way since she born too!!!!
Hang in there with the 2 1/2 yr old….we are still working on it too!
