Pope’s Birthday

We have been watching EWTN and listening to our local Catholic Radio all day!!  Thank God we have access to both, I think I would be lost with out them 😉

Prayer for Pope Benedict XVI

Lord, source of eternal life and truth, give to Your shepherd, the Pope, a spirit of courage and right judgement, a spirit of knowledge and love.

By governing with fidelity those entrusted to his care may he, as successor to the apostle Peter and vicar of Christ, build Your church into a sacrament of unity, love, and peace for all the world.

We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Also pray for his April Intentions:

General- That even in difficult and complex situations of present-day society, Christians may never tire of proclaiming with their lives Christ’s resurrection, the source of hope and peace.

Mission-That future priests in young Churches may be ever more seriously formed culturally and spiritually in order to evangelize their respective countries and the whole world.

This is a great site to go to for info on the Papal visit!  Please pray for our Pope during his visit here with us in the United States.  Check out the teaching resources link on that site and you will be so pleased with what they offer for teaching resources. It is given by grade level!!

It is soooo exciting watching it all on EWTN, we are enjoying a break from studies to watch some of the specials.

Here is another link to a kids website about the Papal visit. Thank you to Jennifer for sharing both of these wonderful links with me!!!

Holy Spirit, please protect and guide our Pope.
